Privacy statement
This statement explains what personal data we receive through pontedigital.co, why, who helps us process it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Ponte Digital is a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) owned by Harold Ponte da Costa, based in Tilburg, the Netherlands. We are responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@pontedigital.co.
What we collect and why
When you send the contact form, we receive the service you picked, your name, your email address and your message. If you add them, we also receive your phone number and a link. We use these details only to reply to you and, if you ask for one, to prepare a proposal. We need your name, email address and message to reply; the rest is optional.
Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). When you write on behalf of a company, it is our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
After you send the form, we email you one confirmation. It contains your first name and our next steps, and nothing else you typed. If you email us directly, we use your details in the same way.
Website statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It uses no cookies and doesn't follow you to other websites. Vercel receives the page address, the site you came from, your browser, operating system, device type and approximate location based on your IP address. We also count clicks on our main buttons, with a label for the button and nothing about you.
Visits are counted with a code that is deleted after 24 hours, and we only see totals. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in knowing how our site is used (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Dutch law doesn't require consent for statistics with little or no privacy impact (art. 11.7a(3)(b) Telecommunicatiewet).
Cookies and browser storage
We don't use cookies, so there's no cookie banner. When you pick light or dark mode, your browser remembers it in a setting called pd-theme. It holds no personal data and never leaves your device. You can clear it in your browser settings.
Who processes your data for us
Vercel hosts this website, runs the contact form and provides the statistics. Resend delivers the form and the confirmation email. Google Workspace hosts our email inbox. Each of them processes your data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. We never sell your data or use it for marketing.
Data outside the EU
Vercel, Resend and Google are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as a backup.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. Client records are part of our business administration, which Dutch tax law requires us to keep for 7 years. The code that counts visits is deleted after 24 hours.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, to limit how we use it, to stop using it, or to send it to you or someone else in a common format. Email hello@pontedigital.co and we answer within one month. We don't use your data for profiling or automated decisions.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
